The Reporting module brings report creation and automation capabilities to Opsview Monitor Pro, Enterprise and MSP editions (optional module for Opsview Monitor Pro customers). Based on [JasperReports](🔗), the module creates and distributes professional looking reports to your customers and staff. For information on the initial installation and configuration of the Reports section, please see [Admin Guide - Reports](🔗).

Reports connect to the Opsview Data Warehouse and allow for the reporting on historical data collected by Opsview Monitor. All reports except the Business Service SLA report take a Hashtag as an input. This means you can tag multiple items within Opsview Monitor with a given Hashtag, e.g. 'business-systems' or 'website-one', and run a report to display everything tagged with that Hashtag. Alternatively, you can choose to run a report on a Business Service, as shown below:

There are a range of reports available to you out-of-the-box in Opsview Monitor, such as performance reports, SLA reports, and events reports. These reports can be run either daily, weekly, monthly or yearly - and can be rebranded with your company logo, along with other customizable fields.

Once you have generated you report, you can choose to download it as a .pdf, .xlsx, .docx or in a number of other formats - allowing you to email it to customers, management, or anybody else that may want to make use of the data.

For more information on how to generate a report, see [Generating a report](🔗)

If you have just added a Hashtag, then a Report will not show any data until the next hourly completion of import_runtime (ODW Status Information) has completed. If you wish to effectively backdate any Hosts or Service Checks with this new hashtag, then please see [Troubleshooting - Reports](🔗).
