Opsview Monitor comes pre-packaged with a handful of reports. At some point in time, you might decide you would like to customize these reports with additional graphics or logic in the SQL queries which the reports use to generate the content.
For instructions on how to do this, please see [Customizing a Report](🔗).
If on the other hand, you would like to create a brand new report, you will need to download and install [Jaspersoft Studio](🔗). You might find that you will also have to install a version of Java if it has not been installed already.
[Jaspersoft Studio](🔗) works by using the results from a SQL query in combination with a template for displaying the content. You can modify the template to display various types of graphs or tables. Reports can take user input such as Hashtags or Host Groups and feed them into the SQL queries that populate the report data.
Once the report template and query have been set, you can save the report as a jrxml file and import it into the Reporting Module.
