Configuring Apache

How to Configure Apache for Opsview Monitor

In order to configure Apache for use with Opsview Monitor, create a file opsview.conf with the following lines:

<VirtualHost *>
  Include /usr/local/opsview-web/etc/apache_proxy.conf
</VirtualHost>

...and put it in the relevant folder for your architecture:

  • SLES/CentOS/RHEL: /etc/httpd/conf.d/
  • Debian/Ubuntu: /etc/apache2/sites-available/

For Debian/Ubuntu, after creating the file, you will need to enable the file by running the following as root: a2ensite /etc/apache2/sites-available/opsview.conf

Afterwards, you will need to restart Apache. You can do this by running the following command for Debian/Ubuntu:

# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

...or using the following command for CentOS/RHEL:

# /etc/init.d/httpd restart
