5.1.1 Bug Fixes

Opsview Monitor 5.0.0

5.0.0 Features and Enhancements

With Opsview Monitor 5.1.0, we have introduced the following features and enhancements:

  • My Links - You can now add you favourite view from within Monitoring as a custom tile in the navigation menu, you can even select your own icon too!
  • Change Log - You can now keep track of all the configuration changes that have been made to your Opsview Monitor system, these are accessible via the Audit Log.
  • Problems – Host problems are now listed alongside Service Check Problems.
    * Filtering Options - We have added a range of advanced filtering options to Notifications Problem and Event Viewer.
  • Homepage - Any non-external navigation tile can now be set as your homepage.
  • Added time filtering to Graph Center, Notifications and Audit Log.
  • Added enhanced filtering to Notifications.
  • Added state duration as a column in checker, hashtags and all problems. Added state type to checker.
  • Allow sorting of handled/unhandled in checker.
  • Investigate windows now display the host name, alias and IP address information.
  • Output and performance data in host and service investigate windows will now invoke scrollbars if there is a lot of data preventing it being cut off.
  • History and Events tabs and Events View now include acknowledgements and downtimes.
  • Introduced mass acknowledgement for Hosts in a down state.
  • Acknowledgements for hosts and services can now be viewed and removed.
  • Events Viewer and All Problems now has an advanced filtering window for filtering by Host Group, Host and Service, states.
  • Updated engine so that event handlers can be configured to always execute for each result, rather than just state changes.
  • Updated Netflow top 10 and summary REST API to support duration column.
  • Downtimes can only be set up to a year in advance, for up to a duration of a year. (SC: 11769)
  • Icons are now displayed for custom notification methods in Notifications.
  • Added audit log entry for Flow Settings.
  • Added Host contextual menu to Hashtag details, Problems and Notifications page.
  • Added Host and Service contextual menus to Events viewer.
  • Linking from Dashboard Hashtag List, Hashtag Cells and Hashtag Treemap to Hashtags Detail view.
  • Linking from Dashboard NetworkMap, Top Service Issues, Top Services By Metric dashlets to Navigator.
  • Events Table dashlet now includes downtime comments.
  • Audit log entry for a database restore now records user's name.
  • Host group organizer's delete menu option now is hidden if not applicable.
  • Extended REST API to delete acknowledgements.
  • Detail REST API now includes host IP and alias information.
  • All grids and treepanel text is now selectable.
  • Page size selector has been moved to be more consistent. (SC: 12890)
  • Tooltips have been added for the top navigation bar. (SC: 12890)
  • opsview_sync_ldap script has been improved. (SC: 12424)
  • check_netapps3.pl has been improved. (SC: 12232)
  • When deleting a host, the automatic downtime that is applied is now set as the user, not SYSTEM. (SC: 12355)
  • check_docker has been updated to report errors better. (SC: 12287)
  • Comments are now persistent and will not be lost on a reboot or when a Service or Host has recovered. (SC: 11732)

  • Fixed hashtag view to not lose scroll position after a refresh. (SC: 12187)

Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) and Suse Linux Enterprise (any version) are no longer supported - please review Supported Operating Systems before upgrading for supported systems.
