5.1.1 Known Issues

502 Gateway Error

This can occur if Apache cannot connect to opsview-web correctly. This has been seen with the following message in the apache logs:

[Fri Feb 1910:12:02.7463572016] [proxy:error] [pid 19959] (32)Broken pipe: [client 192.168.12.114:53471] AH01084: pass request body failed to 127.0.0.1:3000 (127.0.0.1), referer: http://192.168.16.201/monitoring/#!/graphs
[Fri Feb 1910:12:02.7465692016] [proxy_http:error] [pid 19959] [client 192.168.12.114:53471] AH01097: pass request body failed to 127.0.0.1:3000 (127.0.0.1) from 192.168.12.114 (), referer: http://192.168.16.201/monitoring/#!/graphs

A possible resolution is to add a longer timeout to the proxy configuration. In Apache configuration, set:

ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:3000/ retry=60

This will increase the amount of time to connect from Apache to opsview-web.

Contact Opsview Customer Success if this fails to resolve the issue.

Firefox Scrollbars in Investigate Windows

In Host and Service Investigate windows, if the host description is more than 1 line, the scroll bars do not appear on the right hand side of the field. You can still select and drag to highlight the full text. Alternatively, you can use a scroll wheel. This affects Firefox (versions up to 44) on all versions of Windows (versions up to 8).

This works correctly in Chrome and IE10 and IE11:

Internet Explorer 10 Navigation Menu

There is a small issue where the tabs in the navigation panel will shift slightly to the right when a home page is set.
