This section assumes you are importing the Opsview Enterprise virtual appliance.
Open up the Hyper-V environment to which you wish to deploy the virtual appliance. Create a new Virtual Machine by selecting "Action > New > Virtual Machine.." as shown below:
Enter a name for the virtual machine and then select ‚"Next".
Enter the amount of Memory to assign to your virtual machine in Megabytes, 3.5GB (3584MB) or above is recommended; above 2GB is required.
Select a network interface for the virtual machine; this will require an IP address that will allow you to access the Opsview Monitor web interface.
Select "Use an existing virtual hard disk" and then browse to the extracted Opsview Monitor virtual appliance Virtual Hard Disk file.
Finally, select "Finish" to complete the Wizard.
You can now start the virtual machine by selecting the button shown below. Once the system has booted, which will take a few minutes, it will be accessible via the web interface.
determine the IP address of your new virtual machine, your will need to
initially log in to the command line with the username (conf) and password
(conf). Once logged in, enter the command, as shown below:
will be shown details about your network connection (eth1), which will include the IP address that has
been assigned. Use this IP address to access Opsview Monitor via your web browser. The first time you access your Opsview Monitor system you will
be prompted to provide your Software Key, as shown below:
