To change when a Host
is being actively monitored by the Opsview Monitor software, simply modify the
‘Check Period’ field for the Host within the ‘Advanced’ section of the ‘Host
Tab’ (Covered in Section “22.214.171.124. Configuring a Host: 'Host' tab”).
First, navigate to
the ‘Host Settings’ page within the Settings tab:
Once in ‘Host
Settings’, open the modal edit window for the Host in question – either by
double-clicking on the Host’s row or by clicking on ‘edit’ within the contextual menu for the host. Within the ‘Advanced’ section is the ‘Check Period’ option:
In the above example,
we have changed the check period for the Host from the default 24x7 to the
newly created ‘mynewtimeperiod’. Once ‘Submit Changes’ is clicked and a reload
applied, the Host will only be monitored 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Saturday to Sunday.
