The ‘Schedule Downtime’ option within a Host Group’s contextual menu will load a modal window
when clicked, which will look similar to the screen shown below:
The window allows the
user to select various fields in the top half:
Start time: When the downtime should begin (i.e. the start of the maintenance
End time: When the downtime should end (i.e. the end of the maintenance
Comment: User entered free-text describing the reason for the downtime.
In the lower half of
the window, you must select the items which are to be put into downtime.
This can be done on a Service Check by Service Check basis, or you can
simply select ‘all’ (puts all Hosts and Service Checks within the given Host
Group into Downtime), or you can choose to put only certain service checks
into downtime based on their state, i.e. only put CRITICAL Service Checks into
‘Schedule Downtime’ button will submit the action to Opsview Monitor, which
will result in either the ‘Pending Downtime’ or 'Active Downtime’ icon
appearing against the Host Group (these icons were outlined in section 184.108.40.206.1. Overview of icons).
